Put a Yiddish lullaby next to an infectious Klezmer or Romanian dance tune and follow that with a free-wheeling take on some gypsy-jazz and you’ll be soaking up the sounds of Les Yeux Noirs. Two violins, an accordion, percussion and guitar are feverishly stirred into a melting pot of eastern European sounds.

An Emperor, obsessed with the latest fashion, falls prey to two tricksters who boast they can make him new clothes so fashionable that only those who are “smart and good at their jobs” will be able to see them. Worried about other people's opinions, the Emperor and everyone else pretend to see what isn’t there — everyone, that is, except one small child who is not afraid to tell the truth.
