A small time gambler, Nathan Detroit, bets his friend Sky Masterson that he can’t entice the next lady he sees to fall in love with him. The ever-confident Sky agrees. The lady turns out to be Sarah Brown, a very prim and proper missionary from the local branch of the Save-a-Soul Mission. A bet’s a bet and the stage is set for one of the greatest musicals of all time. The original Broadway production of GUYS and DOLLS ran for 1,200 performances.
