Grant MacEwan presents January 25 - February 2, 2008 Tickets: 780-420-1757 Good News! is a hilarious salute to college football in the roaring twenties. World War I is over and people celebrate newfound freedoms and a prosperous national economy. Good News! opened on Broadway in 1927, helping to mark a new era of book musicals. Two films, a Broadway revival, and regular performances followed. The show almost immediately became one of the musical theatre successes of that decade, in large part because of hit songs like You're the Cream in my Coffee, The Varsity Drag, Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries, Button up Your Overcoat, and Keep Your Sunny Side Up.
